We believe that once you create 1 or 2 canaries you can write any in under an hour and deploy in minutes.  Developers create template canaries, one or more are contained in canary template libraries. Once uploaded in My Canary Templates page, go to the Canary Dashboard and select “+Create”. Then “edit” the canary to add environment variables and acceptable thresholds.   The SDK contain examples and documentation. Developers can use the sample canaries to build upon or create canaries from OpenAPI schemas.

Write a canary, share a canary.  We believe that 80% of all possible canaries can be shared.  Basically, a canary written by one developer will be virtually the same as another developer with the same intent.  Why not share those canaries.  Spend the newfound time, writing the other 20%.  Using the Canary Marketplace is a great way to share canaries.

One of our goals is to allow users to quickly write, reuse or get their canaries from the marketplace. We code review all uploaded canaries and will be running vulnerabilities scans. The main point is that most canaries are similar and can be shares, saving time to innovated and write really cool intelligent canaries
